Well, for a start, we do not have the worst record against them, Stenhousemuir have that honour! How come they didn't get it right? They are a wee'er team are they not? Apply your logic to that.

You could put the caretaker in charge of any team that has that amount of revenue to spend and have a runaway success. Simple bring in the best players available with the vast budget you have or in the Rangers case even if you dont have it.

Buying success is the easy bit.

Some teams can put the chemistry of a good manager together with some decent players, motivate them enough and then send them out on the pitch charged with enthusiasm. I'm sure you can think of a few such people.

There is no doubt in my mind Rangers would not be where they are in the league without ££££££.

Ask any of the players or management team and you will more than likely find agreement that we have been poor on every occasion against Rangers in recent years. Why? Difficult to say, these are the occasions that we need to punch above our weight but for whatever reason this hasn't happened, perhaps nerves and the larger than normal crowd has got the better of us.
I thought Scott McBride, Gary Thom and Ross Brown did well yesterday. Liam Buchanan also put in his usual great shift although understandably, given the role he was asked to play, tired towards the end.
As previously mentioned Rangers are a decent side this season and were able to make use of the excellent playing surface to their advantage. Lee Wallace is far too good a player for this level and Daly is almost impossible to defend against when on his game. It was the kind of occasion you wished we were back at old Bayview with the tiny dressing rooms and the crowd right on top of the pitch.

I think we need to move on from talking about sevco, there's 8 other opposition sides in this league and we have a crucial cup tie against Forfar at the weekend.

Stenhousemuir lost 8-0 at Ibrox. That could easily have been the score when we were there. But last night when Stenhousemuir played Rangers again at Ochilview the score was only 1-0 to Rangers with the winning goal coming 15 minutes from the end. Stenhousemuir must have learned a few lessons after the first match. Why did we see no improvement like this from East Fife?

It wasn't 8-0 though, was it? Also, we did learn, because we kept their scoring chances very limited and it was an unlucky og that turned the game. Also, we lost 1 less goal, which is an improvement. Going by your logic then, Stenhousemuir should win the next time they play Rangers, correct? You obviously did not see the game on TV, as it was 1-way traffic for 90 minutes and it could easily have been 8-0 again, if Rangers had taken their early chances. You are just having a whinge and a snipe at East Fife, so tiresome and predictable!

Surely a more pertinent question is why we have been unable to defeat Cowdenbeath for such a long time and why they have consistently produced a better team than us despite having a smaller fan base and resources?

You say they have less resources than us. How do you know that? They may have more money coming into their club from various sources, even though very few people actually want to go watch them!
