Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

The squad of 1970/71

Well done to the club for managing to gather the 1970/71 squad at Bayview today. The reception these guys got was tremendous at half time. Would like to thank them for taking the time to chat with my mum in th Lounge after the game - it really made her day meeting and chatting with Bertie Miller, Pat Quinn, Davie Clarke and Peter McQuade reminiscing about that great season. Thanks to those who were involved in inviting them to the game today and the team spirit of the squad was still there for all today as they still seemed to get on so well.
Who are the next squad to be invited back to Bayview ? - Gavin Murray anyone !!!!????

Re: The squad of 1970/71

A very low shot, bet you didn't think I kept tabs on how East Fife are getting on. And to your question no l have not been asked, by the way how many goals have you scored for East Fife !

Gavin Murray would be a legend in this team. 11 goals after 13 games, the lowest in the league. We have 11pts after 13 games. I didnt think it could get worse after last season, but it has. Last season at this stage we had 14pts and scored 19. We need a new manager now and no, its not Gavin Murray.Bring back Greig McDonald to bring passion back to the Black and Gold jersey.
