Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

steven tweed

In today's Courier Steven Tweed is putting his self forward for the East Fife manager's job.
I wouldnt touch him with a barge pole. Came across as far too aloof plus his one managerial job at Montrose was nothing short of a complete disaster.

I don't think tweed suits.

Re: steven tweed

I dont like this thread

Re: steven tweed

button it then

Re: steven tweed

I reckon that's a tie so far.

Re: steven tweed

I wouldn't be surprised if he did turn-up but his jacket would be on a shooglie nail before too long.

Re: steven tweed

Tweed's exactly the type of guy we don't need. A big time charlie who failed miserably as manager of Montrose (did they not finish bottom of division 3 FFS?)

Great player for us back in the day yes, but he shouldn't even be considered for the job.

Re: steven tweed

Absolutely! The man's a bully. Never forgiven him for that confrontation with Willie McCulloch a few years back. Worse than a disaster at Montrose.

Re: steven tweed

Pals with Brian McNeil though perhaps...

Re: steven tweed

Good double act with Colin Harris?

Re: steven tweed

Would take him as an assistant or coach, was fantastic when we won the league and was a proper influence on the defence. Would always welcome him back to Bayview

Re: steven tweed

Disaster looms?

Re: steven tweed

I'd be surprised and hugely disappointed if Tweed got the job.

Re: steven tweed

This looks more and more like a big stitch up!

Re: steven tweed

We reap what we sew.

Re: steven tweed

His style may not be tailor made for many teams but he would go right through Berwick.

Re: steven tweed

I think in this case you have to cut your coat according to your cloth. I have confidence in the people at the club who wear the blazers and know they won`t pull the wool over our eyes.
They would look pretty sheepish if they did.

I`ll get my coat............

Re: steven tweed

Aye, me Tay!

Re: steven tweed

Yeah, it was about time you were all putting a check on all this.
