Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Today's Game

Great win today and brilliant to see a team willing to scrap for the points. First time I've seen that in ages. Not a vintage display by any means but effort was huge. Stand outs were Gary 'Feed The Fish' Fisher, who looks a real find and Sir Joe Mbu who was outstanding against Gemmel. Barr was very lucky to stay on the pitch after that tackle and the Brown booking was comical!
Well done Gary Naysmith and also a big shout out to Paul Hegarty who encouraged and shouted for 90 minutes. Technical area? What technical area!!

Re: Today's Game

Great effort from all The boys Joe sorted oot gemill The fatty, Liam was great The fish scored a cracker oat run his socks awf, lewis was like a lung on legs in The last ten. Fans towards The end were great too, mon The Fife lets look forward

Re: Today's Game

That's the sort of battling spirit and mental toughness that we've lacked this season, whatever Gary and Paul have done or said to the team looks to have given them a bit of bite and although Stenhousemuir didn't have any clear cut chances, the East Fife of old wouldn't have seen that out.

The ref or linesman really couldn't have done any more for the visitors, some of the decisions were utterly baffling. Brilliant to get back to winning ways though, if Gary's philosophy is "win games" as he's previously stated then I'm sure we could get used to it

Re: Today's Game

Patterson (has to be said) did well again, when called on. Today spread himself well to deny Gemmil, also punched clear when under a bit pressure.
Good win. Looked like a stone wall pen for us. Just created more chances. well done the team!!
