Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

11th Jan

A visit to ibrox on the 11th jan for the Fife.

For anyone not making the trip to zombie land........Why not head down to King George V park at Leven.

Current Fife cup champions Leven United welcome the holders of the Foster's Scottish amateur cup Wellhouse AFC in the last 64 of the competition. It would be great for that "12th Man" to support the local side in the tie labelled "Champions Vs Champions".

Hopefully Leven can keep the flag flying along with other Fife teams Pittenweem AFC and Eastvale AFC in this top Scottish amateur competition, Just like former residents of king George V park Norton House AFC who famously won the trophy back in 1988/99.

Kick Off 14:00pm King George V Park, Leven. Pies Hot Drinks and refreshments available from café

back in 1988/99.

Christ, that was a long season.

Re: 11th Jan

Anyone willing to make the trip through to Glasgow to watch Eastvale or Pittenweem, will be able to keep an eye on both games as the parks are side by side for the tie's!! Hopefully get a couple fife teams into the latter stages of the Scottish Cup.

Re: 11th Jan

Is this game on?

Pretty hard frost this morning with no sign of an immediate thaw.

Re: 11th Jan

Game still on CMON LEVEN !!

Re: 11th Jan

How did they get on?

Re: 11th Jan

1-1. 3 players sent off. 1 Leven player and 2 of the opposition. Leven were one down at half time but started the second strongly and deservedly equalised early in second half. When their opponents went down to 9 men I expected a Leven onslaught but it failed to materialise. They will now have to play again through in Glasgow

Re: 11th Jan

Cheers!

Sounds like a fantastic game.

Re: 11th Jan

Anyone know about Eastvale and Pittenweem?

Re: 11th Jan

Pittenweem won their game 7-1 away to Strathclyde University. Great result!
