Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Stevie Campbell

Signed a new contract until the end of next season

Great to see Naysmith getting players signed for next year already.

Re: Stevie Campbell

In my opinion he is our major asset along with Ross Brown.

Re: Stevie Campbell

Sure somebody mentions soft touch in another forum. Think that sums up Campbell. Don't see the hype.

Re: Stevie Campbell

Hype ? I am only stating my opinion. It would appear that the manager also has faith in Steven. I would imagine that keeping a player of his quality may help us attract better players from other teams.

Campbell has been one of our most solid and consistent players the last few seasons. He is obviously dedicated, reads the game well and isn't afraid to tackle. I certainly see what the hype is about as he is a very good defender at this level.

Re: Stevie Campbell

Campbell was outstanding today, glad we have him signed up.

Agree with this comment and was a leader at the back as he was the captain today.

Re: Stevie Campbell

It's not simply hype about Stevie Campbell today. The amount of tackles and blocks he put in was incredible, especially when we were under the cosh. Glad he has been signed up, he is a class act.

Re: Stevie Campbell

Due to me kicking the arse out the drink on New Years day I didn't make game. Delighted we got the 3 points and it's a great start to 2014. Well done to the team and looking at some pictures there was a good crowd aswell.
