Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Team v Arbroath

Everybody seems to have a different opinion on our best starting eleven,so for all you experts lets see if you can agree with the managers team for the game against Arbroath.
Anyone getting it correct will have the bragging rights for the rest of the season.

my team would be : Patterson Campbell Thomson Mbu Naysmith Brown Fisher Hughes Buchanan Henderson and Mcbride playing 4 - 3 - 3

Re: Team v Arbroath

Paterson, Thom, Campbell, Mbu, Durie, Brown, Fisher, Hughes' (j Stewart), Stonnie, Buchanan, Austin playing 3-5-2, ( stewart to start if Hughes is not fit).

Re: Team v Arbroath

Stonie and johnny stewart would be no where near my starting 11. I don't think Hughes will play I heard he has a broken nose, we could really be doing with him playing but have to think he will miss out. I would start with a 442.
Paterson
Thomson Campbell Dutot
Mbu
R Stewart Brown Fisher Mcbride
Buchanan Clark

------------Paterson---------------
Dutot (if fit), Campbell, Mbu, Naysmith
Brown, Hughes, Fisher, R Stewart
--Buchanan and Tuta(or Henderson)--

Re: Team v Arbroath

Agree on both but the manager likes them so recon they'll play. Hughes I also heard he not been training due to said broken nose.

4-3-1-2. We have a serious lack of wide men so play things through the middle with Buchanan linking the midfield and strikers.

Re: Team v Arbroath

I thought first half on Saturday that ryan stewart and McBride gave us more width than we have had in weeks. Only when McBride went to full back in 2nd half that the width in the midfield was lost.

Re: Team v Arbroath

Good to see that Gary Naysmith did not duck out the decision to drop the team captain and johnny stewart today. For one reason or another Stonie has been struggling for form and needed a rest. Johnny Stewart has struggled to influence any of the last few games. Good to see the manager not scared to make big decisions.

Re: Team v Arbroath

surprised no one picked up on the crowd, 910 is excellent.
