Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Great performance from the Fife today especially the second half when they produced 3 or 4 really good chances but failed to put any away. The most satisfying aspect for me was the style of play that Gary has them playing now, no more big boot up the park , more passing from the back through the midfield. Buchanan to me was the hero and villain of the game. He had at least five chances to score, mostly created by himself, because he was all over the park looking for the ball, intercepting and winning balls, but unfortunately failed to convert any but he was still my man of the match, not Dean Shiels, who scored both goals, the first one being an own goal, and did little else. Hughes was also immense in midfield and will be a sad loss if he moves to Dundee. Overall I came away from Ibrox a happy fan with the feeling that we could and should have taken something from the game

Re: Today's Game

I would have to agree with the previous poster the team played well.I thought we created more clear cut chances than rangers. How many times did we fail to beat there goalkeeper when somebody broke through there defence? .The only fault we did not take our chances and they did.

Mail online reports...
Pat Clark has suffered a dislocated shoulder. Was only on the pitch for about 10 mins but looked a sore one.
The stretcher bearers were shocking!!! Took an age to get on. When they did it was too late, he'd been assisted off.
