Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

v Ayr United...my team and my dream

Self evident that this is an awful season. Most/all East Fife fans do not make a choice to support East Fife. It is something intrinsic. There is still time. Therefore, please, please get behind, and keep behind the team tomorrow...no matter what! 24 points to be played for.
I am convinced that we have the best chairman we could have and that our manager has the potential to make a positive difference. A truism to say that mistakes have been made this season but I believe that our biggest long term mistake has been short termism....hiring and firing when a third of a season has gone badly. We need to bed in for the long term.
I accept that therere are problems with the ownership of the club which puts off potential investors...but lets forget all that for now.
Tomorrow I want to be proud of my club because the passion of the support that outsung and out everythinged the Lino shite in that one one draw a few years back, encourages the team to their best efforts.
To the Singers and the Shouters gerrintaethum!
Fife for Life!

Re: v Ayr United...my team and my dream

We are all proud and passionate about our club Willie but if the players don't stand up and be counted and show the same passion tomorrow then its irrelevant how much shouting and support we show.

It's out of our hands I'm afraid.

Re: v Ayr United...my team and my dream

Fuxake, someone tries their best to stir up some enthusiasm and still gets shot down in flames! Yes, this season has been a nightmare but we are not dead and buried yet. Loads to play for and we as supporters can and have to keep on supporting the team. Now is not the time for slagging the team, now is the time for doing OUR bit and supporting them.
