Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Just saw www.eastfifefc1903.co.uk for the first time yesterday. Is this designed to replace the offical club web site?
Also wondered what was with the shitty striped badge??

Re: www.eastfifefc1903.co.uk

I looked at this too.

Is it an official site?

www.eastfifefc1903.co.uk

In view of the above two valid comments, the "Welcome" page of www.eastfifefc1903.co.uk now includes (unofficial) in the revised opening blurb, shown below:

In the words of a leading East Fife FC official towards the end of 2013, the Methil club are aiming to be "the best wee club in Scotland, a beacon for its local community."

Increasing East Fife's income is a fundamental part of that laudable aim, thus the purpose of this (unofficial) website is to help publicise the club's fund-raising activities and achievements
- welcome to www.eastfifefc1903.co.uk

(End of extract)

It must be stressed that there is no attempt to replace or even duplicate the official site, e.g what's the point of a separately maintained league table?, hence the number of links to the official site.

The site's badge is also intended to indicate that the site is unofficial. The objective of the site is merely an attempt to spread the word about East Fife. Whether the site's badge is "shitty" is of course in the eye of the beholder!

Anyway, thanks for visiting the site, and for the comments.
