Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Game v Forfar

Hopefully the result yesterday can springboard us to safety. A great performance and excellent result should give the players confidence that we can compete in this League. On a cautious note, it is easy for players to get themselves motivated for games v Rangers and Dunfermline when there are decent crowds, but we must show the same team spirit, commitment and desire for the next 6 games starting at Forfar.
Forfar will be desperate to make up for their heavy defeat at Airdrie yesterday but a positive result for us should put more daylight between us and Arbroath who play Rangers. Darren Dodds and Iain Campbell will be suspended and Marvin Andrews and Rab Douglas could also miss out through injury. We need every player at the top of their game for the next 6 weeks and working as a tight knit unit. C'mon the Fife

Re: Game v Forfar

As Bayviewboy has said Forfar are having to cobble together a back four today,we must get on the front foot and take the game to them from the off.A good attacking display could blow them away and secure another three vital points.
I would start with the same line up as last week with one change,Inkango in for Smith.Gerrrrrintaethummmmm.

The manager said at the Q and A that the same team which started against Dunfermline would start against Forfar.

Who cares if they struggle to put a team on the park let alone a back four, that is not the concern it's how EF play. New keeper know Dick Campbell will be pounded by long balls early so our Def needs to
Be big and strong. Not got a great record this season at Forfar however records are there to be smashed.

Will all depend on the shape and attitude of the team
