Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Airdrie game looks like it might be a season maker/season breaker. The best Fife away support is the best, pro rata, I have seen. If necessary, lets drag the team over the line. Fife for life!

Couple of massive games before that. Our home record for the last two seasons has been nothing short of pathetic. I hope we can carry the momentum into the games against stranraer and stennie. I am certain the manager will be using the old cliché one game at a time. Every game is tough and usually the team that shows the greatest commitment and desire comes out on top. Win these two games and i am certain we will be safe. I think 9 points would see us safe but lets just take one game at a time.

I agree here home record is terrible but to be fair bayview has virtually no atmosphere we need to rally behind the team big style at home!!

Disagree totally!
Stadium does not lend itself at all well to good atmosphere to due to being one sided and enclosed. Any engineer will tell you that.
Even with a full house you can barely hear the opposition fans.
Shame on whoever sold out to build the monstrosity that we call home.

Apart from that the teams have been poor and that hardly gives the fans much to shout about.

I'm an engineer and I'm telling you its the fans who make an atmosphere, not an inanimate object! The object is to give the players encouragement by cheering and on the park, the players will hear the fans easily, including all the whinging unfortunately!

lets get a good support up here for this day in Lanarkshire. away form quite better than home form lets get a result and be the 11th man, only three games left we can still do it lets support the team and get as many in Airdrie backing the team just believe

anything less than a win and that will be that. we need to win the last three games to stay up for sure.

Hoping to get the same kind of result to the one we won 3-1 when GN got the job. We can do it! Let's be positive and make some noise, hopefully we can take a big crowd through aswell.
