Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Thanks

Myself, and Becky would like to thank everyone who has travelled on The 1938 Travel Club Bus over the past 5/6 season's, and big thank you for the lovely gifts it was a complete surprise to the both of us. We hope someone will take over we will help in anyway we can,
Thanks again
From
Kenny and Becky

Re: Thanks

If some of the current team was as organised, dedicated, motivated and loved the club as much as Kenny and Becky then we would not be in this predicament. Both deserve a medal let alone the gifts received yesterday for the sacrifices made over the last 6 years, they both are a credit to the club. Well done, superb effort....truly appreciated.... Some epic 1938 journeys, some tremendous stories and magnificent memories... See u on Sat at Ayr for a pint Kenny and a rose for Becky... Hopefully the players will reward you for your efforts with a performance of the season

Re: Thanks

I agree 100%. Many great trips, some good results and a few brilliant results. Thanks Kenny and Becky (and helpers) for the memories and the laughs over the last six seasons.
I will miss reaching the Hungry Horse and wondering what colour trousers Toj will have on. I will miss seeing Tam on the bus when it's a reduced fare trip, I will miss the stories about Jim P's holidays as I have only heard up until 1991 and I will miss the stories about the "movies" Auld Geezer makes in his caravan.
Thanks again but need to go as I feel a few tears welling up.
