Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Trust EGM

Almost all members will have received an email or letter regarding the proposed EGM. For those who still do not have an email address on file I have attached a copy of the invitation.

Extraordinary General Meeting

16.07.2014

Dear Trust member,

You are invited to an extraordinary meeting of the Trust membership at 7.00 pm on Tuesday 5th August 2014 at Bayview Stadium.
The primary objective is to discuss and clarify the Trust’s position regarding the resignation of Eugene Clarke and how that resignation affects the Trust’s place on the board of EFFC.

The EFFC board have already discussed the situation and I have been in communication with Lee Murray who has assured me that no decision has been reached by the EFFC board and that position will not change until after our EGM and both parties can discuss the way forward.

The EGM will double as a quarterly Trust meeting so a summarised agenda is as follows
1) Presentation of financial information and AOCB relating to the ongoing business of the Trust.
2) Discussion on the current situation re. Eugene’s resignation and the vacant Trust Director’s position on the EFFC board
3) Nomination of candidates for the vacant Trust position on the EFFC board ( dependant on the outcome of item 2)
4) AOCB (all matters)

In order that any proposals or recommendations which result from this meeting are seen to carry the full weight of the membership it is vital that as many members as possible attend and their views are heard.

Re: Trust EGM

Any update from last night?

I didn't attend as I was watching Alistair Darling explain all the new powers a best of both worlds Scotland will get and how staying part of the union means we get to keep the torys and the nukes.

Kerriann was elected by members and the Trust board to be their nominee to club board. It's up to the club to decide whether they accept her.

Re: Trust EGM

Thanks for that.

A few people scoff at the idea of a woman being in a position of power but having seen what Margaret Thatcher did for Great Britain I'm sure Keriann will do a great job.
