Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

pyramid system

Hi , just a question , can Berwick rangers end up in the highland league this season if results go that way ?

Re: pyramid system

Nope. If Berwick Rangers are relegated they will play in the Lowland League regardless of where the play-off winners come from. I.E if a Highland League team were to be promoted ahead of Berwick then the most northern of the Lowland League teams will play in the Highland League and vice versa if Elgin were to be relegated.

Re: pyramid system

so who are the most northern team from to lowland league ? sorry but im a bit confused by it all ?

I'm not sure if that's how it works. It's more likely that the Highland league would be a team short for a season, unless they admitted another team from the area. Conversely, the Lowland league would have an extra team for the following season.

Re: pyramid system

Berwick will be kicked out of the league on September 19th since they don't belong here.

Re: pyramid system

Me again , anyone got any info how this actually is going to work ? I cant find anywhere how this works ?

See the thread entitled 'Trapdoorwatch 2014-15' on P&B Div 2 forum. It's explained on there.
