Away From The Numbers
All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.
The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.
This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

is that a trick question yeah its near enough aberdeen and yeah we could of been drawn with Falkirk that would be tough and CR theres only one team thats why im on an east fife forum not really that hard

.Falkirk wouldn't have been a bad draw at all... Okay they're a good side but so are Brora. Remember Brora just beat Stenny 3-1, they're a very good side. Falkirk would've been a better draw financially for us as well... There were 250 at their game v Stenny... Imagine what they'll pull in for a midweek tie? Probably 150 max. Against Falkirk we'd have been looking at about 1000-1500. Plus there's travel costs. Anyone who thinks Brora is a good draw is off their rocker!
Aberdeen to Brora is 159 miles and will take 3-3.5 hours depending on traffic.

Brora won the Highland league last season, drew 1.1 with The Rangers in pre-season friendly and deservedly beat Stenhousemuir 3.1 in the cup. They will start as favourites against a surely depleted Fife side. Thank god its regionalised or we could have got Hearts or Livingston and imagine trying to get there on a Wednesday night!!

Would have love to have done this trip. Was at the ground with SoG years ago when we headed back from the Wick friendly.
I remember it well.
A load of their fans showed up in Wick to support East Fife! Good bunch of lads.
Brora have been my Highland team ever since.

111 years of history preserved. That has to go down as being as good a result as we've had in years. Well done to Gary and the team - and especially to the supporters who made it up there.
Is it still regionalised in 3rd round? If not I would like Rangers away, simply as it will give us the most money.
