Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Bring Back Willie Aitchison

After todays defeat its clear that naismith does not have what it takes to finish off a game. the mans clueless. aitchison had a system which would of worked wonders (similar to brian clough's) had he been given more time. lee murray resigned as he knew letting aitchison go was a mistake.

Couldn't agree more with footballislife, Aitchison brought excitement to Bayview with his style of play and interesting signings. Can anyone actually say they were excited and optimistic about this season? I doubt it.

we were still losing under Willie and the last man to bring a title to Bayview from playing in Division three was Dave Baikie a successful manager at Junior level than a manager that signed Cyrus and a few players and we got relegated with that team. Still early days with Gary, boardroom reshuffle now the departure of Murray, Clarke and Hamilton i believe and hopefully we are still in the petrofac cup on wednesday so what difference would willie make this season. i believe if Gary does go we would look elsewhere with someone who has won something in management, good manager at tactical and management senes and has good contacts in the game but its early days only two games in.

after seeing us beat forfar and draw 0-0 with hibs at home i thought it was going to be a great season but didnt help with having to travel the country in a week from west to north then losing at home their and first half was hard to take than losing a late goal up at stair park. Im sure its early days and we can turn things around on the pitch and never mind all the board thats slowly walking away from the club.

Get over it Willie's left as he couldn't cut it as a manager a bit like Billy who is always and will ever be a assistant manager.
