Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Re: Latest vs Arbroath

East Fife win 2-0 FT. Fantastic result and hopefully we're looking at the early stages of a good run this season. Well done boys!

Re: Latest vs Arbroath

That's an unexpected win but a great one. Wasn't at the game but according to P&B Fleming was very good. Hopefully it means some fans might give new signings more than 4 games before hanging them out to dry. Very winnable next 3 so let's get on a run and close the gap on the top 2

Re: Latest vs Arbroath

not actually missing much in stoney and McBride they were pretty poor bobby linn was worse lol!!

Couldn't give a toss about them to be honest. How did we play?

Re: Latest vs Arbroath

The 1st half both teams where dire. That is all for the 1st half.

2nd half East fife where by far the better team. Naysmith strolled it and had Linns number for most of the game.
K Smith and Fash ran their socks off and the Arbroath defence never got a moments peace. After we scored we didn't sit and kept the pressure up and it paid of for the 2nd. As for Flemings 3 saves! Unreal!

Not sure that S Smith can play as regular left sided player but it helped nullify Linn who was stropping about in a huff.
Liam Smith also had a good 2nd half think it was him that crossed in for the 1st.

As for the ex players. McManus was mince, he still can't cross or pass a ball. Stoney crumbled in the 2nd half and was hooked. Mcbride was just Mcbride and Linn is away to Naysmiths house to sit on his shelf.

Re: Latest vs Arbroath

Got to admit was unsure of Fleming but by Christ he was brilliant today. Some of his saves were outstanding to say the least. MOM by a country mile! Well done!

Re: Latest vs Arbroath

Great result very even 1st half ,2nd have the better team Smith and flem our best players. Our ex players bar McManus who I thought was arbroaths best player were shite. Linn was in managers pocket all day ,mcbrides cost his team 2nd goal. Stonie was just stonie. Great result keep it up boys let's get behind the team

Re: Latest vs Arbroath

What was the team and subs today? Surprised to see Naysmiths name mentioned after the loan defenders arriving recently!

Great result anyway. Onwards and upwards.

Ps does anybody else have trouble reading the number to register a post????

Smith was out of the world. He was everywhere. At times it seemed as if there were three of him on the park.

Re: Latest vs Arbroath

It was a game when the first goal was crucial.Have to question why Gary Naysmith hasn' t played himself before, had Linn in his back pocket.Page did well as a no nonsense centre back and Fleming had 2 good saves and 1 miraculous one.@A great win considering all that's going on off the park.

Re: Latest vs Arbroath
