Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Club Twitter Account

Hi Folks

I'm sure many of you have noticed that the output from the club Twitter account has dwindled recently.

I took over running the account voluntarily at the start of last season but recent work/life committments has meant that I've been unable to give it the same committment as I once did.

I emailed the club today to say that I no longer want to be responsible for it and that I hoped they would look for someone else. I think it has grown over the time I've been involved and has been a good source of communication with the fans.

I just wanted to put a wee notice up here in case anyone fancies contacting the club and offering their services. Otherwise I fear it might return to a dead account tweeting about sperm whales in the Forth and following marketing accounts.

I will try and put the odd thing out there until the end of October after which I will delete the account from my devices.

Re: Club Twitter Account

Ewan, as the person who got you involved in the first place, can I thank you for the fantastic work you've done with the club Twitter account.

I hope someone can step in to fill your place.

Best wishes

Eugene

Re: Club Twitter Account

The club twitter account was why I joined twitter in the first place.

Ewan, your contributions have been great.

Many Thanks

Sperm whales, you say? In the Forth?
