Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Re: Bo'ness game tonight

Yes

Re: Bo'ness game tonight

And the score was?

Re: Bo'ness game tonight

7 - 1 to east fife a few trialists playing

Re: Bo'ness game tonight

do you know any trialists that were playing and who scored for the fife

Re: Bo'ness game tonight

Trialists: Fields-Kennoway StarHearts and Jordan Sheerin(ex East Fife) and 3 others (incl 1 sub).
Others playing were Miller, Barr, Moyes, Beaton (E Fife first half, Bonnyrigg second), Maskrey, McShane, Austin.
Falconer and McAleer came on as subs
Scorers: McShane 3 (2 pens), Sheerin, Austin, McAleer and sub.
Maybe somebody can fill in the blanks.

Ps Sheerin played well up front. Johnny Stewart and old favourite Hyslop (sub) for Bonnyrigg.

Re: Bo'ness game tonight

Other trialists were Ritchie (Kelty) and Julian ? (Spanish player who can't sign till Jan) don't know the Sub trialist. Playing up front for Bonnyrigg (not Boness) was Blair Henderson who was at Bayview briefly last season after signing from Dunfermline.

Re: Bo'ness game tonight

So it wasn't Bo'ness but Bonyrigg. Can imagine somebody got the lines crossed but knew it started with Bo......

Next bounce game is against Dundee or is it Dundonald Bluebell.

Just a wee question. How come Beaton played 1 half for EF and the 2nd half for Bo'ness oops sorry Bonyrigg ? Loaned out of what?

Re: Bo'ness game tonight

Interesting to see Sheerin playing as a trialist.
I thought he had some raw talent when he was at the club first time round but seemed to lose his way quite a bit.
Dunno if that was down to fitness levels or what.
