Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

New(ish) Signing

From the official site...

"We are pleased to welcome centre half Julen Echaveguren Leanizbarrutia to Bayview. Julen is currently an amateur player with the club and will move to a professional contract in January. He played with Real Sociedad in Spain for a period of five years.

Welcome to Bayview Julen."

I think we'd better just call him 'J'.

Re: New(ish) Signing

He might be good. Caroline has no chance of getting that name right!

Let's hope chips in with a few goals though. Majority of our strikers look in capable of doing it. However that has nothing to do with Naysmith playing them as wingers or midfielders.

Re: New(ish) Signing

These bloody highly skilled foreigners, coming over here nicking our coveted centre-half spots from good to honest no talent plodders from Kennoway and Lumphinnans.

Might not be foreign. He might be off the Methilhill Leanizbarrutia's.

Re: New(ish) Signing

Is he in the squad for this afternoon? Hopefully he can strengthen our back-four who seemingly love to concede a goal 10 minutes after we take a lead. Think we could do with signing a creative, attacking midfielder as well.

I doubt he will make his east fife debut till he signs in January when the official transfer market opens mate and yeah we do need to strengthen then and get a midfielder, another striker and a experience goalkeeper needed though Fleming made a clean sheet today which was promising as winning at home for the first time infront of own supporters.
Like to see Page sign he looks like he was settled but I hear that it was his last game today.
