Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Strikers for tomorrow

Is it just me or is anyone else concerned about who we will have up front for the game against queens park tomorrow with Mcshane gone, campbell suspended and fash who seems to struggle....

Re: Strikers for tomorrow

Kevin Smith will be up front as we have Alan Cook & McAleer in midfield!!

Re: Strikers for tomorrow

Does it matter cos we don't make that many clear cut chances for the strikers. Let's see how McShane gets on, I think he will get goals if given chances and playing time at Stranraer.

Re: Strikers for tomorrow

Chris Templeman

Re: Strikers for tomorrow

Just Heard
Chris Templeman
Source? If fit would be an excellent signing at this level.

Re: Strikers for tomorrow

Temple man will be at Bayview by mid next week???? Watch this space.

Re: Strikers for tomorrow

Chris templeman? What makes you think he will come?

A striker that played in this league when he first came to methil and failed badly and ran about like peter crouch like a headless chicken chasing shadows but he played the full 90 mins yestarday for forfar, I don't see him swap leauge one for a side that has problems in two in scoring goals? Is he our solution to our problem? Will he be great on his second return to bayview?
But templeman is forfar's best striker I doubt they will be stupid enough to sell top players.
I'm being realistic we should sign ex-reading striker Gorgie ugwe who is now a free-agent and was dunfermline top scorer before being released by pars a month ago to sign for east fife least he'll cost nothing and was a leauge one scorer something we need badly here to patner kevin smith upfront.

Re: Strikers for tomorrow

I didn't comment on how good or bad he might be, just watch this space.

Re: Strikers for tomorrow

Gogzie ugwu is a striker we need, similar to Liam buchanan, scores goals, quick, direct running at defenders, would be a quality signing

Re: Strikers for tomorrow

mate he wont come

Astonishing. How many times can someone contradict themselves in one post?

I very much doubt East Fife would be buying Templeman it'll be a free transfer and his wages will be much less than ugwu.

Re: Strikers for tomorrow

Certainly not be buying anyone the way things are. Templeman might likely be on loan till the end of the season. Keep watching this space.

Re: Strikers for tomorrow

He will come trust Ewan chris templeton will come for free

Re: Strikers for tomorrow

Livingston FC have today terminated the contract of striker and former east fife and Welsh striker Rob Ogleby its announced on his twitter page, maybe worth a shot with east fife and would be a great coup?

I think Naysmith should try to bring Ogleby back to bayview.

Re: Strikers for tomorrow

Heard a rumour that returning striker could be Jordyn Sheerin, now at Musselburgh Athletic.

Re: Strikers for tomorrow

Let's get Og from Livi?

maybe Rankine could pay his wages personally as a gesture of goodwill...

I would have Ogleby back in a shot he could work well with Kevin Smith. Didn't score lots of goals but always worked hard and set up plenty of chances for Ryan Wallace. T

Jordyn played for East Fife as a Trialist in a game against Bonnyrigg before Xmas so it could be a possibility. Noticed that Berwick have signed Blair Henderson for 1 1/2 years !

Re: Strikers for tomorrow

Jordan Sheerin played well in that bounc game against Bonnyrigg. He can hold the ball up well and he is a good worker.

Re: Strikers for tomorrow

Please stop. Sheerin is brutal and was awful when with us and Arbroath. Shows our level if this is who we sign.

Re: Strikers for tomorrow

Paul Sheerin wood be a great signing is he still with arbroath

Re: Strikers for tomorrow

rob ogilby available

Re: Strikers for tomorrow

Claude_Cecil_Garfield
rob ogilby available

Herd he's off to tamworth, hope it's not true we could do with rob back at east fife did okay on-loan when Wallace was here and the team did great in the cup by getting to rugby park. Should be looking for a striker and midfielder to add to what we have got give us options now page and J.E.L have came in to boost the defence at the club.

Ross forbes has joined morton after been freed by pars he could of prove good player but morton matches his ambition what about templeman or Petrie we are after any truth?
