Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

On his way to Bayview?

What makes u think that?

Re: Martin Grehan

I,ve seen Martin play since he was about 16. Played ameatur when he should have been playing at a much higher level. I managed to persuade him to come play Junior at Dundonald with Paul. Mark Ramsay also played in the same team, and they won the league in their first season together. Martin was signed full time by MOtherwell, and Paul and Mini signed for The Blue Brazil. Stoney also played in the same Dundonald team. I think. Martin is currently with Stenny but don,t think he features regularly in the starting 11. He,s a natural footballer, and knows where the back of the goals are. Has always reminded me a James Mc FAdden with his style of play. Would be a good signing in my opinion. Paul,s never indicated MArtin was on the move to THe FIfe, and I know they are getting together this weekend for the Rangers v Celtic game. Watch this space.

Re: Martin Grehan

Worth a punt am sure the drop of league would do him the world of good and gain first team also game time worth another raid in stenhousemuir team of collection of players they have certainly fill the role left by Campbell and McShane, who knows could be a good partnership to kev upfront something kev lacks is a decent striker with him to bag the goals in. Grehan's certainly being around scotland and his experience will be useful won't mind him joining and it be sense to join being a local player do him the world of good than be on the bench under booth.

I don't think there's much out there in strikers to sign or bring until someone is freed or wait till summer loan move for Grehan would seem right for gary to go for and not herd much of Petrie coming on-loan must of changed his mind or still early days still hoping for another player joining if two then that's magic were almost ready in numbers for second half of the season. Which I'm happy with gary in this market overall certainly full squad on saturday minus mullen but am sure he'll be back soon and cope without him giving mullen a few days rest before coming back into the team we are shown common sense might no be world class or long term signings either but certainly hope they improving our league status and the team ended 2014 and lift the team a bit so let's go to arbroath like at the start of the season with nothing to fear in us and get the atmosphere back amongst us during this half of the season and stay positive supporting east fife football club, get into the smokies!!
