Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Directors' statement

Reading this statement on the official site, it seems that the trust request to withdraw their bid has been rejected before any meeting. Now this may be a bit of grandstanding but I don't think so. the bid will be kept in place in an attempt to raise the trust's bid with a fight between ostensibly the directors and the trust to the detriment of the club and benefit to Rankine. I say let the directors get on with it and see what happens come April 9th.

As said on another thread the land sale is related in some convoluted way and would in the long run would be disastrous for the club. The ground would be isolated in any development taking place in the future with unforeseen difficulties coming up on the running of the club.

We should try and get the land sale stopped citing what has been said all along that Rankine is influencing the running of the club against SFA rules. Remember the directors have said they have money available to keep the club afloat.

What do other major shareholders think of goings on.

Re: Directors' statement

I think this statement is more about the board's anger & disappointment that the 3G pitch is not coming to Bayview than anything to do with the EFSS bid.
At no point have the EFSS suggested that they don't have wherewithall to see out the current season.

Re: Directors' statement

You'd think it was common decency for them to tell EFSS first tho eh?

Edited to correct - this statement seems to be to do with the community use pitch not EFSS bid. Seems their dummy has been spat because the cooncil said naw!!!!!!!!!

Re: Directors' statement

It would be common decency to stop writing pure shite, like what you have just done.

Re: Directors' statement
