Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Re: Potential signings

Gary has been working relentlessly to bring in players of the required standard within the reduced budget made necessary by the 2013-14 shambles where we contrived to make a stupendous loss.

... he has got 10 players on trial.

Well I hope they get off or we'll be even more short-handed.

Every one a cracker !!

Re: Potential signings

What's paul mathers doing these days? I noticed he was released by saint mirren as a coach probably in his 40s but Robert douglas is forfar's number 1 keeper the same age and could be a great cover for goodfellow for the number 1 jersey. We had McCulloch when we won the league maybe we could offer him a player/coach role offer at the club would it attract him.
Positions we need to strengthen is a sub keeper, a replacement for naysmith at left-back I can't see him play every game next season, More right back squad player than mullen/ross brown who are more great in midfield, replacement for Julen as Campbell will be out for the start of the campaign, couple of wide/wingers midfielders lavery would be ideal another attacking midfield and striker.

Re: Potential signings

So I take it you will be sponsoring all these moves?

Re: Potential signings

Mr Leg End....you've been having your drinks sponsored for years! Lol

Re: Potential signings

Mikey Andrews has not signed for a club yet after leaving Berwick, maybe he could do a job for us a sub goalie?

Re: Potential signings

Adam hunter and josh watt a couple of names I've been told we are interested in not sure if they are on trial with us or not though.

Re: Potential signings

Berwick fans on P&B seem to think Michael Andrews is a bombscare and contributed a lot to the poor season just past.
