Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Page scored our goal

Re: Latest Score

Different game, same shit that the negative one has us play! We are going nowhere with him in charge!

Re: Latest Score

another draw feels like a defeat today as it was there for the taking as Annan lost in Elgin today, we should have held on to 1-0 win but lost another set piece goal from a corner. Must do better next saturday at home to East Stirling!

Re: Latest Score

Biggest problem today is nothing new, when we took the game to Arbroath first 35 minutes we totally dominated. We then start to back off and the midfield gets far too deep. Thought Naysmith would have seen this and sorted it out at half time. we come out 2nd half and from the off the midfield sits on top of the back 4. No out ball Fash isolated the man trying to link play from middle to front in Kyle Wilkie nearly playing sweeper. At the start of the season we were pressing the opposition further up the park allowing us to get on the front foot, with the midfield being far too deep we invited Arbroath onto us. We were lucky to get a point thanks mainly to Ryan Goodfellow.

Re: Latest Score

Somewhat negative comments on here and there was the poorest turnout from Fife fans at Gayfield since I can remembers. But, unlike quite a few games in this league, I thought this was a proper football match. Fife controlled the game for most of the first half but were up against it second half as Arbroath started moving the ball forward quicker. Great saves from both keepers - that late Goodfellow save from a Clark volley was superb.

This is a remarkably even league with little to separate any of the sides.
