Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

EF v Queens Park new date

East Fife v Queen's Park is now next Tuesday evening (8th). Hopefully they will go to extra time on Saturday.

Maybe the two and a half week break will help with our injuries and has given the boys a bit of a break. We could come back refreshed but on the other hand will the lack of match practice count against us?

tonight's match preview.

East Fife missing Jamie Insall, Pat Slattery and Ross Brown against Queen's Park.

East Fife are without the suspended Jamie Insall and injured duo Pat Slattery (groin) and Ross Brown (groin) when they host Queen's Park in Scottish League Two.
But Stevie Campbell, Alan Walker and Kevin Smith are added to the squad after overcoming knocks.
Player-manager Gary Naysmith said: "We played really well to earn a 2-0 win over Queen's Park at their place earlier in the season. We will need to play that well again to do anything as they are a good side.
"I am hoping for improvement from our last game at Elgin when we lost 4-2 as we missed chances that day as well as not being tight enough at the back."
Queen's Park are again without the injured Tony Ralston (ankle), Tony Quinn (hip) and John Carter (calf) as they return to league duty after going out of the Scottish Cup to Forfar 2-1 in a replay on Saturday.
Head coach Gus MacPherson said: "This will be a very tough game and we have to go into it with no lingering feelings of disappointment over Saturday's defeat.
"We played well in both games but we were just not ruthless enough in front of goal and that cost us.
"East Fife deservedly beat us earlier this season so we know we have to play well if we are to get a win."

two weeks out hopefully having the rest the squad will be refreshed and win tonight that be very nice for saturday's encounter indeed.

Taxi for Naysmith. Time to bite the bullet and ditch him while there is still a hope of reaching the play-offs. What's that, one win in 8 now?
