Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Re: 20 seasons.

Had Enough
Didn`t Gary Naysmith comment that if things weren't working for him at Bayview then he would walk?

Quite the opposite. He's on the lookout for a goalkeeper, a left midfielder and a centre forward. See the forthcoming East Fife Mail.

were we not looking for a goalkeeper then wasn't giving a deal after montrose game? many matches we had one goalkeeper with our goalkeeper coach about the same age as a robert douglas as back-up on many games, looks like kieran is away with us looking for a replacement and for forwards the best we can get and sign will be fash's brother who still far away from a starting place in this league at best...with the lack of players to attract to east fife and not a lot of money to spend we all believe we are heading back to the days we can afford free agents and the next kenny deuchar or greig mcdonald to come along and play the days we won the league under moffat and broon era as a chairman maybe even the lower leagues traveling to edinburgh play spartans on astroturf surface with lesser attendances than current.
with the manager to leave i reckon it be hefty compensation for east fife to pay the current player/manager off from his current contract thats why east fife can't afford to sack him anytime or leaving us unless another club takes him on as the next crawford assistant role elsewhere or we can afford his compensation fee after a few years later when it lowers. We all wanted gary to have been successful and so far has had two attempts of lifting us from league two and failied to achieve anything than play-offs and relegation my fear is there isn't much in this league in terms of league points with east stirling able to sign morton loanee's then beating stirling at home there we may slip further down the league which isn't good as a supporter to see, the lack of aims, recent signings and current board members and econemy lifestyle of levenmouth we look doomed and going nowhere had our success now its Elgin, Annan's and Albion's delights. I think money raising for astroturf is a question? the money could have been used to strengthen the football team and bring in signings, leaving the off field problems till the season has been finished and had our eyes on this league from all members at east fife so far we look very lost.
