Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

failed bid to attract charlie adam's brother to bayview

Goalkeeper Grant Adam who left Morton this week is set to join Cowdenbeath however he will not be involved against Rangers this weekend as he is cup-tied.

The 24 year old who started his career at the Ibrox club has already had a spell with the Blue Brazil having played for them 13 times in season 2013-14 with Adam also having donned the colours of Airdrie, St Mirren, Forfar and Dundee.

Adam spent a year with the Cappielow side however he left after manager Jim Duffy restored Derek Gaston to a starting role at the weekend for the Derby clash with St Mirren.

Central Park manager Colin Nish has nipped ahead of a couple of other clubs believed to be Stranraer and East Fife to sign the shot-stopper.

likewise with other players we seen who played their trade in the above leagues to drop to league two at the club he like kieran position earlier before calling it a day here would have been on the bench this season under the current management and his tactics would have been frustrated for a goalkeeper that has the ability to play at the top level and choose league one rivals over us anyday i dont blame the lad rather than sit about on the bench to pick up a wage rather being in the starting line up in the lower league at our club that is happily enough to remain in the league we are in.
he would be great additions to our team no doubt about that but under this management and our position no"

Maybe just as well. Can't put my finger on it but there is something strange about the Adams Family.

News like this shouldn't be left to fester.
