Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Three wins on the trot and this place has about as much life about it as the trophy cabinet at Starks Park.
Mr Angry has buggered off, together with the racist Mr Exile - last seen holding hands together heading off into the sunset.
Meanwhile we are still required to type in a code of up to six characters to post our tuppenceworth instead of registering on Twitter, P&B or Facebook and enjoying a sensible conversation.
Acht well

I'm still here mate and still ragin!
False dawn I'm afraid. Damage has already been done and Naysmith and his merry men still next to useless.

Apart from that I agree with the last paragraph!

Re: AFTN RIP

Less of the dig at Rovers trophy cabinet, in fact what century was it that you last won anything of note?

It's not AFTN that has gone stale. The lack of activity is what happens when people lose interest in East Fife. Were you asleep when so many fans said they had had enough and were not going back? We are left with the hardcore loyal getting excited about beating Annan Athletic and East Stirlingshire. Wowzer!

I got excited about beating Annan Athletic and East Stirlingshire.
I am also curious. Why is your nom-de-plume boner. Is it because you are excited for some other reason ?

Major trophies? The 20th, same as your single, didn't actually win the match effort.

That's a strange statement, cos AFTN always livens up when we get beat. Trouble is though, is that it is sooooo boring!

Re: AFTN RIP

If AFTN , is so boring why are you here ? just leave us boring fans alone to post , when we want to or feel like it . Bye

Re: AFTN RIP

This is probably a good time to let everyone know that I didn't renew the forum registration at the end of the year when it ran out.

This forum format hasn't been ideal for years and I've got a sign in one ready to go. Trouble is, the archive here. It's not transferrable because of the system Bravenet use, so the stuff will get lost.

I'm working on trying to save some of the threads before they disappear into the ether (which could be quite soon), but if someone wants to suggest the best way to do that, I'm all ears!

Re: AFTN RIP

Perhaps some abuse from me could help liven up the old forum?
