Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

protest regarding Mr Brown

Just a thought, since the mound has been removed, why dont protestors go into the match ( yes I know you dont want to finance Browns regime) and bombard him verbally? This way you cannot fail to be heard, all supporters will be aware of fans feelings, both home and away, and Brown will be humiliated in front of all. Provided its done within the law, he can do nothing to stop it other than sit and take it week in week out!
Apologies for being anon but I have a family interest in the club ( but have been a fan for 30 years)

Re: protest regarding Mr Brown

I think many wouldn't want to pay but it does have it's advantages, but as has been mentioned before, ideally it would be in the away end so we can get really close to him and the bored so they can't miss exactly what our point is.

This would also be an ideal ploy for away games as in many of the ground you can sit right beside or behind the bored and legally give them full pelters for 90 minutes.

Re: protest regarding Mr Brown

No publicity in that. It happens every week at matches around the country. It is now an accepted part of the game.

A more visible protest is what is happening as it shows that the supporters have the gumption to get off their backsides to do something about the plight at the club. People will take more note of this and it is something the media are more likely to pick up on.
