Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Press coverage today

Thanks for the photos for the exiles GoF - great stuff. I'm proud of all the fans who are protesting and am only sad I can't join in. It's great that our team has fans who won't be fuc*ed around as could happen with other clubs.

This club can be a proud provincial club again if everyone sticks together for as long as it takes to get this moron out. It gives me lots of hope to see those photos of protests/rash actions by the board.

We'll hopefully have 1000+ crowds, a new board, strong active Trust, new manager, 1st/2nd Div football and then we can all get back to singing anti-Rovers songs

Re: Press coverage today

....oh, and is there any press coverage in Scotland today of the protests ?

Re: Press coverage today

Nothing in Sunday Mail, NOTW, haven't seen any other papers, hopefully the EFM on Wednesday will have a bit to write about.

Re: Press coverage today

I've said before we have to try and get some air time and generate publicity in the national press.

Although phone-ins are largely the domain of the wacky and obsessed let's see what we can do with calls and emails. Surely, the hosts might want to take a break from talking OF.

Re: Press coverage today

I phoned Your Call last nite and they took my details but they never phoned me back instead they wanted to listen to more pish from The Old Firm "fans".

Re: Press coverage today

I`m afraid that getting the attention of the national press is usually quite difficult for anybody below SPL level (espescially when our Glasgow friends play each other). By far and away the best chance you have is with your local paper and radio stations

Re: Press coverage today

We didn't get off to a good start though when they did turn up for the first protests and there was only 12 of us!

Any journos reading this though are very welcome to use any of the pics from the site.

Same with anyone from any other website.

All we have to do though is keep it going, increase the numbers and turn up the heat and they'll be taking notice soon enough.
