Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Songs For Arbroath

Feel we let ourselves donw in just one regard on Saturday and that was that our variety of songs were not up to their usual standard!

So what new ones can we get for Saturday.

Had a few thoughts, but then if you took out the ones that featured swearing then I've none left!

Thought we could do a version of the Pixies classic "Where Is My Mound".

or Broon's namesake inspired me to think of the Stone Roses "I Wanna brand new board".

We need noise and numbers from start to finish on Saturday.

Re: Songs For Arbroath

You are my East Fife, my methil East Fife, We're only happy when Brown's away..... please complete this song.
Thank You!

Re: Songs For Arbroath

You'll never know how - much we hate him
Please dont let the wee hitler stay

hitler can obviously be replaced by a number of words/names

Re: Songs For Arbroath

We hate Derrick Brown! he's a poof, he's a poof!

Re: Songs For Arbroath

To the tune of Golden Brown:

Derrick Brown, he is a twat
East Fife fan? I smell a rat!

he let us down
Flattened the mound
oh what a clown
it's Derrick Brown

To the tune of I feel the Earth (Tiffany?)
I feel the earth move under my feet
I feel the mound tumbling down, tumbling down
I feel the East Fife are crumbling
whenever you're around....

Oh baby!

Re: Songs For Arbroath

One for the older supporters

to the tune of "young Girl" - Gary Puckett and the Union gap

"Derrick Brown get out of East Fife
we have no place for you in our life

your a clown brown, your going down Brown"

for the youngsters the real song begins ..Young girl get outta ma life....

Re: Songs For Arbroath

An old favourite of mine (more applicable than ever)

Derrick Brown! (clown!)
He's got the power to know
We're tax deductable
Brown's always thieving

Tune of Spandau Ballet's Gold

Re: Songs For Arbroath

Hey Broon
Why don't you go?

We are shite now
and you'll regret it

Remember, we're getting under your skin
That's just to begin and don't forget it.

Hey Jude, the Beatles

Re: Songs For Arbroath

To Que se ra, se ra

"Kiss my ass, my ass
thats my message to Derrick B

chairman of East Fife FC
kiss my ass, my ass"

no swear words don't want any kiddies being upset

Re: Songs For Arbroath

Bob I thought the words were 'young girl get outta my mind (my love for you is way out of line)'

How about:

He's fat, he's round
He bounces on the ground*
Derrick Brown, Derrick Brown

or

*He's trying to sell our ground

Re: Songs For Arbroath

Don't Stick any money in his pocket
the ego-tistic council man,
Coz if you want the best ones
dont ask questions
Then Brother ive a plan,
Coz where my shares come from is a mystery,
Is if from neil rankine or the twiggies.
But heres the one thats drivin us berserk
How did this money come from a council clerk

la la la la la la la la la la
(only fools and horses tune)

Re: Songs For Arbroath

Song for Derrick to sing in a deserted Bayview holding aloft his two sided scarf (Blue & White / Black & Gold )
" I'll always walk alone "
