Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

7 defeats in a row,its paul daniels we need as manager.

Re: Todays Game

I didn't think we played that badly today. There were some good passing movements and certainly 100% effort from the players. New players looked Ok and added something to the team

Re: Todays Game

Although I agree in that there were some good pasages of play in yesterdays game I was a bit disappointed with the attitude of one or two players during the game, I thought they were a bit sluggish and were too often taking their eye of the ball so to speak.

Now I only ask this question so dont shoot me down in flames. Do you think that the protest was a distraction to the players and as the protest will continue should we look forward to more results like this.

Short term pain for long term gain!

Re: Todays Game

I don't think the protests distracted the players. We played some decent football. We had our moments but looked not too bad.

There were many songs encouraging the team so I would hope they knew it was not them that people were protesting against.

On another note - Stephan Fortune made a couple of (IMO) first class passes yesterday. He is certainly one for the future and can only improve given the right coaching and guidance. I believe we have a star in the making.

Re: Todays Game

I have to agree with anon, I also felt that although some players did ok there is still to many players just going through the motions. We need more players on the park that can bring the best out of the younger players and stop their heads going down
