Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Email to the Daily Record

I'm not sure how much you are aware of the situation at East Fife Football Club.

Are you aware that a nine year old girld is currently the major shareholder? Check Companies House for the details. S (Samantha) Twigg is the daughter of Mr Rankine's (Still the owner of Dumbarton FC) partner?
You will, I'm sure, be aware of EFFC chairman Derrick Brown's contribution towards the Graham Rix situation at Hearts within the SFA.
You may, or may not be, aware of the increasing numbers of protests outside New Bayview in recent weeks calling for Mr Brown to resign.
You may also be aware (for all I know) of the clubs' refusal to allow EFFC Supporters' Trust to ivest £4,500 in the club.
You are probably unaware that Mr D. Marshall resigned as director after a failed attempt to pass a vote of no confidence in Mr Brown on Sunday past.
You are almost certainly unaware that at a public meeting at New Bayview, two newspaper reporters were refused entry. Mr Marshall was given a standing ovation by around 100 supporters.
This Saturday at New Bayview protests are once again to take place demandiing the resignation of Mr Brown. We anticipate that at least 100 supporters will participate...

Re: Email to the Daily Record

I e-mailed the record yesterday as well, the Row Z fanzine editor. Gave him some links to check out.
We need a regular thing in every week or two.

I also e-mailed a regular investor the club who I know, and advised him to withdraw his financial support at least until the trust gets to buy shares shares.

Re: Email to the Daily Record

Hmm... this is weird. How come someone can go back in time to reply to a new post?
