Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Todays protest

Realise most of you will have far better things to do on a Saturday night(wish I had,) but can anyone give me a quick rundown on todays events outside the ground. Numbers of protesters, banners, songs sung that kind of thing.

The handing back of season tickets to Derrick Brown was inspired, well done to those involved.

Thanks.

Re: Todays protest

Another good turnout, similar to the last home game, but not as much noise.
One large "Down with Brown" banner and 2 massive Bayview Ultra flags which looked fantastic.
GOF had his megaphone which was put to good use!
There were noticably more security in force with a smaller version of Lennox Lewis(no racist pun intended) manning the entrance door.

Highlights for me was the banter amongst the protesters, the 2 season ticket holders leaving and the 3 Montrose supporters joining us.

Next home game will take the protests to a new level altogether.

Re: Todays protest

Cheers pal, always nice to hear whats going on.

Hopefully the number of protesters will grow as the media takes more interest. Can't understand what Browns hanging around for, still he should feel more at home next week and maybe he wont come back!

BLACK AND GOLD NOT BROWN!
