Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

apology!

Very sorry folks,
My idea of an internal protest ended in tatters due to one or two details i hadn,t planned for.
1.Derrick has made the place so unpopular there were hardly enough people in the whole stand to hold all the individual cards.
2. There were a few people not present who I knew would aid our protest and a few who have expressed their distaste in the Brown regime, but refused point blank to help when asked to stand up and be counted.
3. The gale of wind blowing into the stand made it impossible to stick the cards on the back wall without the aid of blue tack which I forgot to take with me.
4. The last option may have been cut down in its tracks as one of the stewards was watching us attemt to place them on the wall.
The result yesterday was good to see, but we must not let this detract from the ultimate goal. In my view it is too little too late and that was the worst team we have faced all season.
I understand Lord McFarlane of Pieland was there yesterday munching on the finest steak pies again.
Unfortunately, us lesser mortals were subjected to the usual cold crappy version after a pint of rank lager in the lounge again.
Once again, sorry for letting the side down.
