Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

39 heroes

On a day when Mr Brown must have thought it would be three men and a scabby dug on the mound he was made to think again.
When the dust settles and we finally have a board of directors in place worthy of East Fife Football Club, you lads should be at the top table.
Proud to be a Fifer tonight.

Re: 39 heroes

Yup! The protestors numbers may have dropped this week but we are still the hardcore of the club. Anyone who cares about East Fife should join the march next weekend. NO EXCUSES

Re: 39 heroes

The numbers were always going to be lower this week because of the weather and lack of recent activity, the numbers also plummeted in the stand (again), well done to all the protesters and many season ticket holders going into the game today told me that they support us. Lets all get out in force for the march next week and unite for change.

Re: 39 heroes

Apologies for not being there today, but rest assured I`ll be there on the 18th.

Black And Gold,Not Brown.

Re: 39 heroes

So sorry we did not make it due to work commitments ,but well done the lads and lasses who were in the trenches to-day.

Re: 39 heroes

Two points regarding the protest today:

1, The number of protesters prepared to brave the elements and show their dissapointment at the continuing reign of Broon made up over 15% of the "official attendance".

2, The fact that we are now winning games is good because we all want a winning East Fife side but has no bearing on the strength of feeling or support for the removal of Derrick Brown. This despite claims that if the team are winning the fans will return. 257 in attendance today, draw your own conclusions.

Your days are numbered Derrick.

Re: 39 heroes

Would it be worthwhile looking at an alternative programme for people on the mound? I'm sure GoF could rattle a few dozen off, he has experience in these matters...I think this in itself would be a good press story!

£1 each. One or two pages. Latest news, stuff from the Blog site, comments and general anti-board propaganda. It wouldn't take long to throw together, and might raise a few bob...

Re: 39 heroes

Good idea we could also sell it to fans going in to the ground. It would at the same time give those fans more information on the state of the club that they do not know about.

Re: 39 heroes

Well done to all the true supporters who braved the elements and cheered on the lads. Two wins on the trot and two shut outs, the players are responding to the support you are giving.
