Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

March

Is usually nice but today it was tremendous.

Really enjoyed joining in the march, I hope all EF fans did as well. Great occasion and well organised.

OK our league hopes went tits up but well done to Igor and the lads.

Re: March

Thanks for the support guys

Re: March

Much appreciated.

That's now Warriors fans, East Stirling and Montrose guys supported the moundies, donno what happened with the Albion Rovers lot, mind you ther was only 5 of them!

Derrick I know you don't read this but whoever reads it for you might just point out the consensus seems to be that you are not wanted.

Down with Brown.

Re: March

We REALLY appreciated your support today, Warriors. Well done.
From where we were standing, we noticed your AKABUSI banner attached to the rear of the stand. When you started chanting anti-Brown slogans, we also noted that two stewards approached you. What was that all about?

Re: March

I think they were standing up Jim and obscuring the view of the corrugated iron backing behind them. Almost as heinous a crime as a chicken pushing a wheelbarrow into the ground.

Re: March

Well done guys for the support both outside and inside the ground.

You did seem to be getting a bit of hassle from the stewards when you were singing something along the lines of "Derrick, Derrick get tae fuck" too though.

Hope you can fend off the English and the smellies.

Re: March

To be fair to the stewards they were actually as sound as you can get.We sang a few anti-Brown songs to help the cause but at no point did the stewards try and stop it, they were great guys.

Good luck with the cause lads, I hope the exceptional turn out today will spur you's on.

AWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGA!

Re: March

Kris Akabusi doesn't say Awooga, it's John Fashanu. When will they learn...

Re: March

well done all who marched today - someting to be proud of. Let's let-rip between now and the end of the season. Hopefully come the end of the season oor efforts will pay dividends.

As a suggestion - focus the protest on the last home game of the season. Hopefully some of the moderates can protest just for one day.

Re: March

We've done a march with a pipe band, the emphasis should now go on noise....drums, horns, old-stylee rattles, whistles etc. It's impossible to chant for 90 minutes but let's be in the boards ears.

Re: March

Good idea about noise, would be careful with whistles though. Derrick would accuse us of making the refs job hard

Re: March

so what if he does moan about it? can we please stop thinking of derrick first? none of the protests are is being conducted to keep him happy. in fact i think whistles would be brilliant, he is so up his own arse about refereeing that whistles will really annoy him

and how pathetic if he appears in the media to complain about fans blowing whistles. he will only highlight once again the fact that everyone on the planet thinks he is a twat

Re: March

I can see where you're coming from na na moon but you must remember the protest is against the Chairman and not against the players. Blowing whistles will only unsettle the players and call into question the motives of the protesters
