Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Last nights game

Are people resigned to the fact we get beaten through at Cowdungbeath now? The games seem to be a side issue in the quest to remove Derrick.

Setting aside that issue for the moment last night's game had the usual air of inevitability when Cowden scored. I think they were the better team but we never do ourselves any favours against them. Defending last night was schoolboy stuff which is dissapointing given the recent good form. It was almost a relief to lose just the one goal in the second half.

The rot at Bayview has taken hold good and proper. We need a new board, new manager and some new players quickly.

Re: Last nights game

Glaring weaknesses especially with the 2 centre halves and left back. Both One and Buchanan took Campbell Doyle and Smith to the cleaners. No 1 priority for the new manager will be to get the defence sorted out with a dominating cenre half essential.
Both Savage and Bradford too similar in style and too 1 paced.

Re: Last nights game

Was there any protesting last night, and did chicken man make an appearance?

Re: Last nights game

The Protesters went into the main stand in the 2nd half and sat/stood just feet away from db and told him some home truths, why the directors are apparently backing brown leaves me speechless, they sit with a letter from companies house with the threat of a £5000 fine hanging over each of them because browns incompetence, and they think he is the right man to take this club forward?

Re: Last nights game
