Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Tonight...

...I'm going to be mostly drinking whisky and listening to The Who...

Baba O'Reilly...

Re: Tonight...

Excellent choice, Angus. I assume it's the Who's Next album you're playing if you're listening to Baba O'Reilly? My favourite off that album is Love aint for Keeping - just perfect after a couple of beers on a Saturday night with the lights turned down low
Best Who album ever, though, has to be Live at Leeds, especially the later CD special edition with the entire Tommy rock opera performed live. Brilliant.

Re: Tonight...

Is there a spare wheelbarrow at methil?.

Re: Tonight...

Can't beat Love reign o'er me

Re: Tonight...

hav just unearthed the Skids greatest hits and Im mainly gonny annoy the fuck outta the neighbours while drinking cider - sorry in advance Stewart.

Was never much into the Who guess I must be way younger than u Angus hehehehe

and another thing what was Richard Jobson on??? anyone understand the lyrics??? Altho I do remember watchin him run the full length of the pitch at King George while playing for Leven Royals and nutting someone suppose that might go someway of explaining the lyrics. That resulted in LR getting their under 18s banned from all comps - remember that Davy Hamilton??

Re: Tonight...

Antony and the Johnsons for me tonight!

Re: Tonight...

Into the valley
Bethroned and divine
Realisations no virtue
But who can define
Why soldiers go marching
Those masses a line
This disease is catching
From victory to stone
Ahoy!Ahoy! land,sea and sky
Ahoy!Ahoy! Boy,man and soldier
Ahoy!Ahoy! Decieved and punctured
Ahoy!Ahoy! Long may they die
Out of concealment
Blank and stark eyed
Why so uncertain
This culture decieves
Prophesised,brainwashed
Tomorrow`s demise
All systems failing
The placards unroll
Ahoy!Ahoy! Land sea and sky
Ahoy!Ahoy! Boy,man and soldier
Ahoy!Ahoy! Decieved and punctured
Ahoy!Ahoy!Long may they die
Time for the audit
The gathering trial
A collectors dilemma
Reposititioned and filed.

Re: Tonight...

Its only teenage wasteland

Re: Tonight...

Thought you were going today Rothes.

Tonight I've mostly been drinking Guinness and eating Chinese food and listening to crap Karaoke in Dunfy toon centre, so wasn't disturbed by The Skids although I would have preferred listening to them.

Next party give us a shout Lonefifer, quite partial to the skids and cider.

Re: Tonight...

Skids and cider go hand in hand I reckon.

LoneFifer - be ashamed of yourself for notinviting your (nearly) neighbours.

*(f'in hell that post took me 15 mins to type)
