Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

WHAT IS THE WORST WEBSITE IN THE SCOTTISH FOOTBALL LEAGUE ? CAN IT BE OURS ?

Re: WEBSITE

Re: WEBSITE

rather than slagging the site off, why not try to get involved.

oh sorry my mistake !! , that would be too much like hard work.

if you aint part of the solution then you are part of the problem so

why dont you just FUCK OFF !

Re: WEBSITE

Why should he to be fair? Every other team manages to get a coherent semi-professional website on the go - some with the help of fans, most without.

I, among others, have been involved with the running of the site and the club are just not interested. As to the guy who is doing now for the love of the club, if he can't do it justice then he should step aside and force the club into getting the site done properly. (No offence to him)

It would cost the club a few quid a month/year to get it professionally designed, updated and maintained. It's paramount that the club has an above standard website for advertising revenue, news, mailing lists, match reports, press info and so on and so on. Especially as these days an official internet site is the first place any prospective player, investor, newspaper, media, local advertiser, fan, visitor, exile will look before making their next move/purchase/visit.

So although I can understand both points of view above, the blame falls at the feet of the club. If you can't run a club without constant help and services of the fans (what's left of them), then sell your shares to er....the trust........the fans....or someone else.

it's a fukcing shambles.

Re: WEBSITE

We are a proud team with proud history and we have a badge on the website front page which looks like it's been cut-out very roughly with scissors and coloured in with felt pen.

I think TAZZ 76 whether or not he's offering services has the right to ridicule it as a fan.

Re: WEBSITE

Agreed, the website is an embarassment!

Re: WEBSITE

The greatest tool for creating conspiracy theory is lack of communication. East Fife Fc in the shape of their Chair fit the lack of communication category at every level including the Website. About the only people DB communicates with now, are the puppets left on the board. They are the only fools who believe him.

These are my own comments etc.not representative of any other group

Re: WEBSITE

Just noticed under the fixtures section, the final of the CIS Cup appears to be on Sunday the 19th May????
