Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Fund raising proposal...

Up until now I have been happy having the extra nine quid in my pocket every week but Mike's pie gesture haas given me this idea:

Each of the protesters (no obligation of course), both stay aways and mound bound, could put their nine quid into a pot and we could choose a different local charity each week and give them this money.

This would have the obvious benefit to the chosen charity, but as an added bonus we would create yet more publicity - raising the profile of the protest and reinforcing the degree of support we have in our quest to get our club back.

Is the season ticket in the form of a book or a photo card this year? Holding protestors could swap their match ticket with the nine quid of a paying supporter.

What do we think?

Gregor

I like it.

Re: Fund raising proposal...

If everyone is keen to give their £9 to charity, why not donate it to Rachel House. If you want extra publicity, highlighting Browns Raffle ticket balls up would do just that

Re: Fund raising proposal...

How about some to charity and some to a EFST war chest. Let's look to the day the fans can own the club lock stock and barrel. Or at least restart it after the present regime has completed EFFC's spiral into oblivion.
