Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Chilling Words

''The board, through their own personal investment and that of others, enjoy the support of the vast majority of the shareholding and they have been assured THAT THIS WILL CONTINUE FOR A LONG TIME TO COME''
In other words OUR TEAM will become a play thing of the Brown family.

Re: Chilling Words

"The vast majority of the shareholding"

That would be Derrick and Betty then I presume.

Derrick "You support me Betty, don't you?"

Betty "Of course I do darling, just as much as you support me"

Derrick "That settles it then"

Re: Chilling Words

"At the end of the day, I can re-assure supporters that I have personally invested more money than JDB.
£9 entry + £1 pie + £1 half time draw ticket + £1 can of Irn Bru in lounge = £12 per home game ( at least).
Never seen you buy a round in the bar yet Derek!
As for major investment, we only have his word for that, the share register shows all these shares, but the accounts are a mystery.
His statement on the website has only embraced my feelings that this man is "not fit and proper" for the role he plays at our club.
We must not give in to the bully boy tactics being employed.
He has missed the point that there are investors out there who are refusing to come near the club while he is at the helm, myself included.
