Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Overheard in Newcastle

"I'm a bigger shopper than you" (apologies DW!)

Re: Overheard in Newcastle

Derrick was also seen at St.James Park where his beloved Newcastle Utd play, he has supported them for over 50 years and at the end of the day if you think you support them more than he does etc etc etc

Re: Overheard in Newcastle

I heard he was meeting with Freddy Sheppard with a view to signing Michael Owen but only if the protesters toe the line and start paying back into Bayview. After all that's what all right minded people want.

Re: Overheard in Newcastle

Who gives a toss about East Fife anyway. Certainly not me. I'm away back to my true club, Cowdebeath. At the end of the day i'm a bigger Cowden fan than you. Up the Blue Brazil!!!

Re: Overheard in Newcastle

No doubt, he will be laying claims to be the original brewer of the local drink NEWCASTLE BROWN,any right thinking person would agree that he has always been its biggest supporter, Wor brown

Re: Overheard in Newcastle

Overheard him say to his wife in the Metro Centre.."Betty,should we take red or white wine for when we go to the Hendersons for dinner tomorrow?"

Re: Overheard in Newcastle

Seen his son Colin was referre at Berwick yesterday.Anyone else think he popped into Berwick on the way down to Newcastle to arrange his protection for next week his words(extra stewards really)?

Re: Overheard in Newcastle

How on earth can the SFL allow his son to referee games in our division anyway?

Surely a huge potential conflict of interests? (assuming we weren't shit of course and were up there challenging).
