Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Dumbarton

Looks like Dumbarton will be coming down to the Third Division after losing to Alloa yesterday. Bad news for Rankine and Brown?

Re: Dumbarton

not that bad they can share the security. sure the stewards would go down a treat at dumbarton

Re: Dumbarton

Was there not an incident at Dumbarton's ground during a minutes silence for the Queen Mother where a few Fife fans booed and Derrick Brown spat the dummy?

Re: Dumbarton

Dumbarton manager Paul Martin was quoted in The Scum yesterday as saying "The fans have no right to be disappointed and they should take a good look at themselves."

Re: Dumbarton

can we leave this red herring alone? the two clubs were in the same division in season 2003/04, when the rumours were rife, and nothing happened

even if it is true, there is no proof that rankine controls any shares at effc. if the sfa look into it, they will say: what evidence? none

concentrate on getting gonzo removed from the muppet show

Re: Dumbarton

No written evidence but plenty of other. If you don't know the state of play by now, I cannae be arsed to tell you.

We are concentrating on Deek don't worry about that, then we move forward.

Re: Dumbarton

that's just the point. there is no hard evidence. the rest is anecdotal or hearsay. it would be laughed out of court
