Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Was I right?

Well we have ended up exactly were I suggested we would be even before last season had finished. By hanging onto Moffat to long it was a forgone conclusion and it is something that never should have happened if we had had any board members who knew anything about football. For next season! - with the two B's at the club Brown and Baikie - I doubt little will change - Brown will continue to alienate himself with the supporters to the detriment of the club and Baikie's reputation among players will not attract the quality of player needed to make the club successful. Yes its all very depressing and no doubt the usual brickbats will fly my way - but I dont really care - my forecasts have all been right the past few seasons and there is no point in not facing reality. The club is being ruined by the present incumbents - we seriously need a fairy godmother - or father.

Re: Was I right?

We could always get Jools back, then all we would need would be the Godmother

Re: Was I right?

It wasn't that everyone disagreed with your comments, it was just that you always repeated the same old same old and its the kind of stuff we didnt want to hear, especially as you had no better alternatives!!

Just dont put us through all that again, your comment/dribble credibility level is just tinkerin above the D'ick, now you don't want it to fall any further now do you!

Oh the banter...

Re: Was I right?

Once again Mike, you are right!

Re: Was I right?

The only reason I may have kept repeating myself Auntie-Mike was because I was getting frustrated because I felt no one else could see the obvious - Moffat should have gone before the start of the season but the majority wanted to give him a go when it was quite obvious he was not up to the job - as was subsequently confirmed - in the meantime the club was dragged to the depths of Scottish football and I end up tearing my hair out - and believe me I cannot afford to do that - just like Hoss and Eugene.
