Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Anton De'ck

Now we know why De'ck was down at Newcastle a couple of weeks ago. He was getting a few tips for his new comedy duo from the Geordie pair.
They debuted at Bayview on Saturday. Anton and his stooges provided the entertainment, firstly barring Dave Marshall from entering the ground. Farcical scenes followed when some fans entered the stadium. Even Ironside couldn't prevent them, maybe he should have used his wheelchair.
Meantime De'ck did his usual PR job. The young fifers who entertained the vast crowd with their skills at half time were charged £2 each to play and any parents attending had to pay the full admission. This was a bit ironic as they were more entertaining than Baikie's eleven who were paid. Another own goal De'ck.
Now, following their howling success, the comedy duo are moving on to bigger and better gigs. They will be appearing at Montrose this Saturday, with various others in fancy dress. I believe the chicken may be attending much to De'ck's delight.

Re: Anton De'ck

P.S. Ant is the taller one who always stands on the left.

Re: Anton De'ck

I would like to clarify 1 thing the young fifers 1997 age group who entertained us all at 1/2 time DID NOT pay £2 to play. They were given a game by the young fifers coaches who also gave the kids a ticket for £1 to buy anything they wanted from the pie stall. The kids who did have to pay £2 were NOT playing and they were also given a £1 voucher for the pie stall.

Re: Anton De'ck

I must have been given duff information from one of the kids mother who watched from the mound. So De'ck has a heart of gold after all! Let's call off the protest and rush out to buy tickets for next season!!
Drat i've missed that tempting £10 off voucher. What's the price and i'll pop a cheque off in the post straight away. Do I just deduct the £10 off?

Re: Anton De'ck

youngfifers did have to pay two pounds and they got a voucher for a pound off at the pie stall but I dont know if the youngfifers committee had to pay the full price.

Re: Anton De'ck

See Derrick is handing out food poison in the shape of £1 off vouchers!

Re: Anton De'ck

That's it then, status quo. Cancel my request for a season ticket. It's not just food De'ck poisons, how about everything he touches. Regular King Midas in reverse !!!
