Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Well done to Nancy and crew for another great event with Sundays soccer 7's festival. The organisation was again excellent and everyone had a great day out(even the weather was great)
WELL DONE TO ALL INVOLVED
p.s. As for the result of the coaches V 91's game at the end (3-1 to the youngsters) I BLAME THE MANAGER
oops sorry Shona

Re: young fifers

You must have had too much sun, it was only 2-1, unless I missed a goal

For all the little running I did, I was aching on Monday

Re: young fifers

A well deserved reward for people who put a lot of dedication in, week in week out.

Re: young fifers

But look at the weight you are running around with Stewart. It was a good day, good to see 350 kids playing football at Bayview. Oh yeh the coaches did have a defeat 2-1 to the 1991 Youngfifers team well done them

Re: young fifers

The people who run the Young Fifers, including all the coaches etc, do a fantastic job.

They are to be admired for their dedication in organising the training, matches and festivals like last weekend.

My son is in the 96 squad and apart from the sheer enjoyment he gets out of it, being a Young Fifer has made him (well I hope he continues to be anyway), a lifelong East Fife supporter.

Rabhaw

Thanks for your comment.
Hopefully see you saturday. The parents who turn up to watch their sons/daughters play games make our job much easier by putting up goals, checking the pitch etc. I can assure you that your help is much appreciated as it allows us more time to spend with the team.
We will do our best to make sure the enjoyment level stays high.

Re: young fifers

Canny make Saturday, still offshore. Will be back for the following week though.
