Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Thanks

We noticed tonight on the official web site that Scott has been released. If this is the case then we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone associated with East Fife FC for the support and welcome that we as a family received. We would especially like to mention the Crawfords and Dodds families for the pre and post match entertainment!! we have made some very good friends and we will not forget the time spent at Bayview.

Re: Thanks

Are you saying the first you or he knew of his release was from the website ?

Re: Thanks

There has been no contact from the club. Scott had been told after Thursday's game that he would be contacted within a couple of days, but as yet nothing. We read on the web site last night that Scott was on the released list.
It is a busy time for any manager and it is necessary that he contacts those players he wishes to retain first. It would have been nice though to have been informed via the club and not read it on the web site.
Despite all, we wish the club all the best for the future.

Re: Thanks

Why does none of this surprise me?

Hold the front page - 'Club in poor communication SHOCKER'

I wish Scott and the rest of your family all the best for the future. He will be missed by all right-thinking people and the wider Levenmouth community. Oh and the supporters too!

Seriously though, good luck wherever next season takes you all and make sure you join us for a pre-match pint when we meet again!

Re: Thanks

Great way to treat a loyal player who always gave his all for us in the two years he was at Bayview. Sadly I am not surprised however

Re: Thanks

scott signed for Arbroath in was in todays courier. so he must have known sometime yesterday for the courier to print it today it does not make sense

Re: Thanks

The retained players received confirmation by recorded delivery on saturday morning. The manager then informs the released players whenever he sees fit.
